The fact is, every single morning when you wake up, you're going to have to live with yourself. It's YOU that you have to see in the mirror. It's YOU that you have to share with the rest of the world. It's YOU that you have to walk down the street with.

For that reason, you need to be able to wear that name and skin proudly. I'm not just talking about self confidence, but self accountability. If you do what you say to yourself you're going to do, it's much easier to get up in the morning. Why? Because you are proud with what you have already done, and you know that you can only do more today.

Through the months writing my book, I made deadlines for myself every day, week, and month. I would tell myself, "Today, you're getting to page 200. I don't care what it takes to get there; I just know that when my head hits the pillow tonight, I better be looking at that many completed pages so that tomorrow, I can keep going."

It's all about the mindset. YOU are the one that's going to get things done in your life. Prove yourself to yourself.

I once heard this quote: "You will always have to live with yourself, and it's in your best interest to see that you have good company–a honest, upright, generous, proud, and accomplished companion."
